Connect Counselling & Therapy is a non-profit society. Connect responds to community needs by fostering well-being and healthy relationships through skilled counselling services and we are proud of the services we are provided our community.
It has been a tough year for so many as we self-isolate during the pandemic. Some have suffered illness and the loss of loved ones that they were unable to be with to console. Not being able to visit our friends and family can takes its toll on many of us. Domestic violence, alcohol and substance abuse have all reportedly increased alongside higher rates of suicide. Many of us have been bombarded by tragic news about Covid-19, and the divisive election news in the U.S. All this leads to higher stress levels than ever before.
Suicide rates are growing, and the Covid-19 cases continue to rise. We have heard many heartbreaking stories from our clients, and many have suffered lay offs and job losses. Putting food on the table is hard enough, paying for counselling is out of the question. We are very thankful we can still afford to offer free counselling for those in need but the demand for our services is rising. Thanks to our supporters, we are still able to meet the needs.
How can you help?
Connect Counselling welcomes donations so we can continue offering our free counselling service to lower income individuals and families. With more and more people in need of free services the costs to offer those services also rises. We do not want to turn anyone away.
Thank you for your time and consideration and please feel free to call me. On behalf of all of us at Connect Counselling I wish you a happy and safe holiday season.
Sincerely,
